Dear Friends and Families of CUMC,
Have you watched the first message about the church series, “The Church is an Organic Community” (You can click here if you want to watch) yesterday? I hope you can start thinking about “your life as a church” God has designed at where you are now remembering 1 Corinthians 3:16 so that you can have an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God deeper and wider wherever you are.
Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? - 1 Corinthians 3:16
We are going to think about ‘Church as One Living Body’ on this coming Sunday (July 19). As we look at the church as an organism, the church is not just a building, system, or organization but must be an alive and active organism with the life of Jesus Christ. In this sense, the church must be a living body as we breathe every day. (Ephesians 1:22-23)
The church is also “One” living Body as there are many parts in one body. There are a variety of people who has different spiritual gifts in a church but we belong to One body of Christ to grow and mature together in Him. (1 Corinthians 12, Colossians 2, Ephesians 4)
I hope that you can meditate the scriptures during the week for the Sunday message. And I pray that you can learn, grow, and mature more from reading other meditation from our church family and sharing your meditation as well HERE because this is the reason that we belong to our church.
May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you all grace and peace.
Your companion in Christ,
Pastor Gil
