Welcome to online worship at Contoocook United Methodist Church. Although we are in a very special and unexpected situations, as Jesus overcame the death, all of us can get through this challenging season.
Today, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the death, I hope and pray that all of us can put our hope in Jesus Christ who won over the death.
Let us give our best worship to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ with our heart, mind, and soul together in one Spirit although we worship at different places.
Centering Words
Even in the midst of our Good Friday grief, a sparrow sings in the garden, heralding the morning, as sunlight kisses the dewy grass.
Introit / UMH #328 Surely The Presence of the Lord
Silent Prayer
: Invite the Holy Spirit to come in the midst of our hearts.
God of mystery and might, your wondrous love always seems to catch us off guard. We come to the tomb looking for death, but find life instead. As we behold the glory of our salvation, take us back to that moment of discovery—when grief and loss gave way to a glimmer of hope. Before we shout our alleluias, remind us of the moment when despair was transported into glimpses of new possibilities. In the holy awe of Easter morning, we take a moment of silent gratitude that Christ calls each of us by name.
Shout it from the mountaintop:
Christ is risen! Alleluia!
Christ is risen indeed.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:55-57
55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessings of the Offering / Pastor Gil
God of grace and God of glory,
pour your power on your people this day,
that our lives may reflect
the gift we have received
through the resurrection of your Son.
Truly we see that you show no partiality,
offering abundance of life and fullness of grace
to all who turn to you in their need.
With deepest gratitude for your many gifts,
particularly the gift of your Son,
we offer you our tithes and offerings this day.
In the name of the resurrected one, we pray. Amen.
