A daily prayer from the New England Conference
The clergy and laity of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
God of our lives, thank you for your Word, thank you for your heart, thank you for your call to each of us. Please keep on teaching us your ways of love, and justice, and peace. Plant those ways within us, let them take root; let them grow, in what we say and do, and be steadfast and sure. We know, O God, that sometimes we get so caught up in our own stuff that we set your ways aside. Please forgive us, Help us, when we fall short, to confess, and to know you still love us, and to turn once again to following you. Give us, we pray, discernment of mind, strength of will, generosity of heart, courage of spirit, to live each day as your people. We are so grateful for your grace and mercy, inviting us again and again to be your children, to live in your love and walk in your paths. We offer ourselves to you this day, in Jesus' name. Amen.
