A daily prayer from the New England Conference

You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become completely one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. — John 17:22-23 God of Glory, Light up the glory in us that Jesus has given to us, A glory of incarnation that lays down its own privileges and power to love and serve, A glory of leaving the Mountain top to suffer with those in every valley, So that all may see in us the glory of love, not the love of the glory. Restore the glory in your church that we have lost, A glory of unity that risks the security of the ninety nine to seek and include the one that is marginalized and excluded, A glory of diversity that discovers and celebrates your glory in all lives, So that all may see in your church the Risen Christ who walks in the way of love. Revive the glory in your world that Christ has brought, A glory of the Cross that embraces even the worst in us and the world in forgiveness and grace, A glory of your compassion that confronts and disarms the deadly fear and hate of the other with the limitless empathy and hope, So that your world may truly know and live your peace. Amen.
