A daily prayer from the New England Conference
Members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Praise the Lord! All of our days we will praise you.
We do not put our trust in anyone or anything but you, the Creator of heaven and earth, the Lord our God. You are everlasting and forever faithful even when our humanness lets us fall short.
Creator of all things, You provide all that we need. Help us to honor and respect your creation.
You raise up those who are burdened and troubled. Help us when we turn from injustice or when we remain silent.
You give food to the the hungry. Help us to remember and help those among us who yearn for hope.
You release the captives. Help us to forgive and let go of past transgressions.
You give sight to the blind, Help us to be disciples that lead others to you and your grace.
You protect the stranger. Help us to remember your commandment to love one another.
You comfort the weak. Help us to be compassionate and offer grace to all.
For it is in you that we trust and we praise you in all things!
Praise the Lord! Amen.
