A daily prayer from the New England Conference
The clergy and laity of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Gathering God who gives music and song, lighting our pathways as we go along carrying dreams in our own sacred arks, sharing your love as our life-giving spark. God of King David who danced with delight praising your presence in full public sight, leaving the battlefield, headed for home, joy reaching toward us with music and poem. God of Queen Michel whose heart did despise, her husband so humble before all those eyes, missing her own chance to join in the dance, years of confusion now held in her glance. God of my heart in whose heart I reside show me, I pray thee, and be at my side, as I now seek out to recognize those others on earth who I often despise. God of abundance, oh LORD of the feast, stretch out my hands to the lost and the least, lead me to table with enemies past, and show me your kin-dom, completed at last.
Rev. Karen L. Munson, DMIN, Many Waters District Superintendent 2 Samuel 6:1-5, 12b-19
