A daily prayer from the New England Conference
The clergy and laity of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Gracious and loving God, You call all of us together and you send us out, too. To spread the good news and To remove the energy from life-taking wrong-thinking – To put energy into life-giving love, forgiveness, and justice. Taking only the clothes we wear and the shoes we have on – No baggage. No food. No money. Nothing between our hands and yours. Nothing between our feet and yours. Nothing between us and new friends. Let nothing come between. On this day, let us put our holy interdependence on full display. Stir our spirits to action in ways great and small. Make us participants in your liberating economy of love and justice. Amen. Rev. Ted Crass, President, The United Methodist Foundation of New England. Inspiration: Mark 6.1-13, UMH 373
