Baking for Seniors!

Outreach Committee has been providing home baked treats for the seniors at Park Ave Apartments and others in town on a monthly basis since the pandemic. July's treat was lemon poppyseed cake slices, baked by Barbara Klumb, Jackie Stock and Sandy Fisher. Sandy's grand daughter Kayla assisted with the delivery of 36 slices to seniors. They were all surprised and very pleased to receive a treat as well as a friendly hello and brief visit. At Park Ave Apartments, Joanne assisted with the room to room delivery. In June the cookies were added to the soup lunch that Dimetris have been delivering to 60 seniors in town. Due to Covid-19, the closure of the Slusser Center has eliminated their weekly Wednesday lunch.
