Psalm 23
verse 3: He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
This verse could very well be another life verse for me. It reminds me God is in control of my soul. He restores me when I call on Him from this world and has promised to take care of my soul for eternity! The verse also states it is in His name’s sake we do good for others and take care of His creation. It is not for recognition or for good “feels”. Everything I do should be for Him, and to honor Him.
Holy Lord, you are the keeper of my soul, and you are my shepherd. I know you are leading me. Help me to remember all I do, whoever I love, whoever I help, or whenever I do good, it is in your name. Amen
