A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis
During these difficult days, members of the Commonwealth West District of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Based on: Psalm 139 and Isaiah 55:10-13
Dear Merciful Lord, as we continue in the COVID-19 crisis, help up to remember that as you send rain down from heaven, that you will bring us through to a new day. Help us to remember that you hear all our prayers for health, wholeness, and healing. Help us to be patient and know that the new day will surely arrive. We will continue to shout out in joy as you lead us to a new normal. We thank you that you gave us mountains and hills so that we may go and enjoy your creation away from the crisis and we can sing and clap our hands in joy. We pray for those affected and their families. We pray for those mourning loss. You Lord will remember us, and we will know we are not cut off from your love. Praise be your name. Amen. Joan Farrar, Conference Co-Associate Lay Leader, Co-Lay Leader of Commonwealth West District, member of United Parish of Lunenburg Federated in Lunenburg, MA
