A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis
During these difficult days, members of the Commonwealth East District of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
“Will you pray with me?
Holy God, These days are long and hard. There are moments when we aren’t sure when they will end or when things will change. So we pray, even in those times where we feel that your word is far from our lips and heart, remind us that you who make our hearts can read them. God, remind us that you have been at work in the world, well before the foundations have been laid. Remind us that in you there are peculiar and diverse details of our very beings. Hold us close in these days and never let us go. God we pray for a reminder of your ancient words, that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Amen.”
