A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis
During these difficult days, members of the clergy class of 2021 are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today’s prayer
Holy Spirit, who moves all people towards the Divine, move us. Renewed by the living water of Jesus, Spirit, remind us, of our baptisms each day, Let us all remember God’s steadfast love and faithfulness, so we can follow the commandment to love one another as Jesus as loved us. Move us to live in radical love that transforms us. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Love can be a powerful force for social change”. So, Holy Spirit, move us to Love, so we can change the world. As we emerge from this pandemic, we need living water. Let us sing a new song of justice, equity, and compassion, so that all people will know they are children of God, that are called to this radical love. Amen Ken Mantler, candidate for ordination/membership as a full elder
