Galatians 6:17-18
Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen
These verses follow a brief discussion of circumcision at the end of Paul’s letter to the Galatians. The message to me is that my entire being, physical and spiritual, should be identifiable by others as a follower of Christ. How do I make this a reality? By being open, transparent, bold and fearless with my faith. I only have this one chance here on earth.
Father God, help me with this goal. Show me how to serve you in a visible, courageous way. Shine your light on my path, God. I ask this in the name of Jesus, who is my teacher. Amen

Galatians 6: 17-18
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.
It is through the grace that God extends to us that we have eternal life. It is through the works of Jesus and His death that we are free. I always have to remember that by the grace of God go I is really true. We find peace and contentment through the grace from God. And it through this grace that I am able to find peace and forgiveness.
Dearest Lord, the grace you extend to me is a much cherished gift. Giving up your Son for us was your greatest gift to mankind. Let me use that grace to do…

We just celebrated Memorial day, honoring all who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. There is a difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day. This helped me to understand Paul’s message. Let some veterans show you the scars that they have received in battle, and you will realize how much suffering, heartache and blood our freedoms have cost. Paul belongs to Jesus? He carries the marks of Jesus on his body. This was described as a brand applied on cattle, or on a slave. Paul's marks, were not put there by Jesus directly. They were given to Paul by his persecutors because he preached about Jesus The Bible teaches that the marks of a Christian are l…
Galatians 6:17 - “From now on, let no one make trouble for me; for I carry the marks of Jesus branded on my body.”
This translation in the NRSV is substantially softened in the NIV that Becky quoted. It is, however, in line with the idea put forward in Romans that the believer is no longer owned by the law of sin and death, but by Jesus. The image of branding, so offensive to the modern reader is one that conveys ownership. Either we have surrendered ourselves to God or we have not. There are no halfway measures when it comes to our eternal destiny.
Prayer - Jesus, the old hymn says, “I surrender all.” I offer myself to do…
