Job 32:8
"But it is the spirit in a person, the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding."
These are the words of Elihu, spoken to Job and his "friends". Elihu has hesitated to speak, because he is young, but then justifies his right to join in the conversation with his remark. Whenever I feel I have taken a step closer to God, I need to remember this. God provides this growth, and this increase. He is the source of my inspiration.
Holy Lord, you are the source of all of my growth. You are the power behind my transformation. It is not through effort of my own, that I am inspired to do and be more. It is your Spirit, living in me, which transforms me. Amen

Job 32:8
But it is the spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding
As I read this verse, it is Elihu speaking to Job, he’s basically corrects Job’s three miserable friends for all the things they had said wrongly, or applied wrongly, and Elihu is pointing out here that in order to have understanding, we need the spirit of God to work in us. We need the breath of the Almighty in us in order to have knowledge, in order to have understanding. This is only a partial answer, because man cannot under all that God allows, but we must trust him. All scripture is God-breathed and is usefu…
Job 32:8
Sometimes, we give ourselves too much credit for things. When I solve a problem or get a great idea about something, I often forget that is the spirit (Holy) in me guiding and directing. It has nothing to do with age or wisdom, but the spirit within us.
Prayer: gracious God, thank you for this reminder to always acknowledge Your role in my life. Amen
Job 32:8 “Breath of the Almighty,” literally God’s inspiration, God’s breathing into our spirit, is the source of our limited understanding of God’s plan for us and how we should live as believers. God’s breathing or inspiration is found in myriad forms, a sunrise, the smile of loved ones, beautiful music or art, being in the great outdoors, a perfect strawberry and countless others. It may be hard to describe, but a believer knows when they feel it. Our response is to live in thanksgiving for God’s inspiration and pass it on to others who may not perceive it.
Prayer - Loving God, divine Inspiration, fill my spirit with Your holy breath that I may reflect Your love, mercy and peace…
