John 4:48
"Unless you people see signs and wonders," Jesus told him, "you will never believe."
Faith does not come easy for many of us. I wonder if it was a bit frustrating for Jesus that people needed to see with their own eyes before accepting his Truth. But, miracles were a huge part of Jesus' ministry. He knew where and when a miracle was necessary. What an incredible time that would have been to meet Jesus! I do believe, and I know the historical accounts of Jesus' miracles in the scripture have much to do with that. What a beautiful gift for us.
Holy Lord, Living in these times, the miracles of Jesus seem so long ago and so very far away. But they have been captured in scripture, and for that I am truly thankful. Help me to continue to strengthen my faith, today, in this age. Amen
John 4:48
Jesus asked, “Will you never believe in me unless you see miraculous signs and wonders?”
Jesus spoke these words to a government official who probably traveled about 20 miles to beg Jesus to come heal his son. This was a special healing because it happened without Jesus being present, and the officials whole household then believed in Jesus. I think this story is our reminder to believe in the power of prayer to Jesus, for us to believe he can help us with any problem we have.
Prayer: Gracious God, May I always believe you will help me in all situations. Amen

John 4:48
So Jesus said to him, “Unless you see Miraculous signs and wonders you will never believe.”
I wonder what made Jesus say these words. he created us and knows us, he knows how we think and feel. Jesus returned to Cana of Galilee where he conducted the miraculous sign of turning water into wine. The next verses reference a royal official who had heard Jesus was in Galilee. The royal official's son was sick, and he went to Jesus in order to ask Him to heal his son. This miracle is the importance of faith, which is really trust.Jesus suggests that some people won’t believe—won’t actually ''trust'' in Christ—without seeing some miraculou…
John 4:48 Were those Jesus was admonishing skeptical or were they simply not paying attention? Jesus’ mission was not to be an entertainer or magician. Each of His miraculous signs and wonders was meant to honor and glorify the Father and nothing more. When indwelled by the Holy Spirit by faith through grace, one’s eyes are opened to the little miracles in everyday life. I have trotted out this old saying before, but it is still apropos for today’s reflection. I don’t believe because I see. I see because I believe.
Prayer - Jesus, miracle-working Savior, thank you for the blessings and little miracles of each new day. May the Spirit keep my senses attuned to what You are doing, and…
