1Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
God always provides a way out. There is a good way to handle any temptation, and if I remember that, I can look for that better way. I have done some thoughtless things in my life, and at the time did not worry much about the fallout. Those times are long past, and I have grown (much) older. But I still feel badly about them. I know I can learn from my past, and as time marches on, I can continue to learn from God. There are kind and thoughtful ways around any sticky situation. I pray to God to help me to be less selfish, more thoughtful and more protective of others’ feelings. Amen

1 Corinthians 10:13 The most important part of this verse is not that we sin and others do also, but that our God is there for us and will offer help. If it is easy to think of our sin is something only we do, then it should be just as easy to turn to God for his strength. Prayer: gracious God may I always turn to you first for strength and forgiveness. Amen
1 Corinthians 10:13
I for one have taken this verse out of contest for way to long…that God will never give me/us more than I/we can handle…. Again I had to read the surrounding passages to understand what Paul was talking about. The topic was temptation and being prepared to resist it. Does God ever give us more hardship than we can handle. I would say yes, BUT he does promise he will not let us be tempered beyond what is common to man. God does not promise to keep our lives free from difficulties and danger. He does not promise to keep us from trials and temptations but he does provide a way of escape, through the Holy Sp…
1Corinthians 10:13 Satan can tempt, but lacks the power to compel sin. Holy Spirit power to choose the better path is always there for the asking. Satan is persistent, however, and we must always be on guard to confess and repent when we fail. Rationalizing or justifying what we know to be sin eliminates our discernment and shuts out the Holy Spirit. Our way out is blocked.
Prayer - Holy Spirit, You are always with me, especially in times of trial and temptation. Give me the eyes and ears to see You and hear Your voice guiding me to a path pleasing to God in those difficult times. Amen.

1 Corinthians 10:13 . . . And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
What God has given us is a conscience. We are tempted (tested) often to do the wrong thing and usually it is easy to avoid it. When the temptation is greater, that is when God gives us the strength, through conscience, to do the right thing.
Dear Lord thank you for giving me reasons to avoid serious sins. You have blessed me with good things all my life and continue to do so. Amen.
1 Corinthians 10: 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Temptation to sin is a part of this life. Sometimes sin takes over our desire to do what is right. God will never put us in a position to sin that is impossible to overcome. God gives us the grace to overcome sin and do what is right. It is our choice as to what avenue we take. Jesus’ relationship to us is one of hope and trust. God is w…
