Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.
The security which comes along with the gift of salvation is a blessed assurance that we are God's beloved creation, and will be with Him forever. I spend a lot of time thinking about how to live out this life I have been given, in a way which honors this precious and enormous gift. However I live out my faith, I have the security of my relationship with God and the promise of eternal life.
Holy Lord, your love and grace give me all the security I could ask for. I will continue to model Jesus as best I can, and I pray for opportunities to grow even closer to Him. Amen

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Salvation is all God’s idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It's God's gift from start to finish! We are not the stars in this major role. If we were, we'd probably go around bragging that this was our idea and we did the whole thing! Many people memorize these verses as they are an excellent review of the gospel. So I have to ask myself ,what do I rely …
Ephesians 2:8-9 The security brought about by the assurance of salvation by grace through faith is demonstrated by our works given in thanksgiving for the gift. Like the handful of dandelions given by the adoring child to their mother, God receives our works of thanksgiving as if they were the world’s most precious treasure. No kind and loving actions or words are too small to give thanks for eternal security.
Prayer - Loving God, let my every thought, word and deed be an offering to You in thanksgiving for the gift of Your presence for eternity. Amen
