Hebrews 13:20-21
May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen
This week‘s verses about God’s will have not been what I expected. Somehow I was hoping to gain the key to understanding why bad things happen, and why God allows evil to continue. But the verses have reminded me of this: I am here to do God’s will. The closer I grow to God, the clearer I will see. All I do and say should be in line with his most perfect plan. I can only do my part, and cannot control others. But my part includes sharing God’s love with others and loving others myself.
Holy Lord, your will is sometimes clear, and sometimes a mystery. But my path beside Jesus is where I belong. I pray I never lose sight of you. Amen

Tuesday, May 17th 2022 Hebrews 13:20-21 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
God wants to equip you and I with everything that is good for doing his will and this is not some feeble, mismanaged, under-funded, over-worked employment policy. This is a powerful, trustworthy, compassionate God who paid the ultimate price to secure our peace. He works with us to achieve what’s pleasing to him. He doesn’t just…
Hebrews 13:20-21 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his well, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Jesus is the great Shepherd, who works on our behalf, guides us on the way and equips us with all that we need to follow His plan for us. It is by His grace that we were forgiven of our sins and brought into the family of God. It is by this grace that we live our lives…
Hebrews 13:20–21 As we learned yesterday, God‘s will for us is simple: do what is right, love mercy, and walk humbly with god. In today’s verse, we are told God has equipped us to do his will. We have all we need if we use our Bibles every day. Reading, prayer, and conversations with others help us develop our faith as we walk with God on this journey of life. Prayer: gracious God, thank you for this week’s opportunity to learn your will for us all. Amen
Hebrews 13:20-21
Father, Son and Spirit all appear in this short passage from Hebrews. It seems to encapsulate God’s will in my mind in its reminder that God is the God of peace, that God’s promises to us are eternal, costing the blood of the Son and that believers are equipped by the Spirit to carry on Jesus’ earthly mission. God’s will is that we remain dedicated to the task.
Prayer - God of peace, here I am. Send me. Let me do Your will by being the best ambassador for Your kingdom that I am equipped to be. Amen
