A Daily Devotion for Thursday September 8

Writer: TomTom

John 4:23-24.

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

I am not sure about this, but I think Jesus is telling us here that we all have access to God, and all can worship God because the Spirit is and will be freely available to anyone who seeks it. The ability to worship is an awesome power, available to anyone, any time, as long as they accept the Holy Spirit through Christ. I don’t need to go anywhere or prepare or dress in a certain way. What a beautiful gift!

Thank- you, Father, for being with me every minute of every day. You are steadfast and I can count on you. I am learning to turn to you more and more often, instead of fretting over things I can’t change.

Amen

Becky, transforming

It seems they knew God was with them and they were with him in spirit and …

Years ago, I worshiped God on Sunday and Holy Days. I would go home and other then Catechism class in school and saying my night prayers, I did not really think about God until next Sunday. Everything I do, I should do for the glory of God. Not just for an hour on Sunday, but every day in everything I do or say. I know now that I cannot properly worship…
