2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Our greatest weapon against evil is our relationship with God - and specifically the Holy Spirit, which dwells within us. When we feel doubt, confusion or anger, we become more fertile territory for the forces of evil to lead us in the wrong direction. This is something I will need to think more about and try harder to incorporate into my every day. When I am feeling "off", the first place for me to go is to God- not the refrigerator or Amazon, or Instagram to watch reels. God is the only one who can put me back on track, and I have direct access through the Holy Spirit.
Holy Lord, help me remember to turn to you, and not turn to worldly comforts when something upsets my "world." You are forever faithful, and stronger than any force which pulls me away. Amen

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 The key phrase in this passage for me is “we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” This may be difficult, but that is no reason not to try. If I can measure my every thought against the old yardstick of “what would Jesus do,” I stand a much better chance of staying in God’s will. The minute I start thinking I can drive the train myself the door is wide open for Satan to do mischief. The Holy Spirit will help me keep that door closed.
Prayer - Spirit of God, I turn control over to you and pray that I may take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Amen

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.
Satin or any other enemy, who desires to control our thoughts knows that our thoughts determine our actions. We are tricked into thinking these thoughts and lies are in our own minds hoping we will act accordingly.( battlefield of the mind again) because we know God’s word well enough to immediately recognize and reject all thoughts that …
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Our weapons are the Holy Spirit, God’s words, prayer, faith, hope, and love. This is what we need to see in ourselves. Relying on God’s words and the Holy Spirit within us all, we can conquer so much that the world temps us with. Even more important, others need to see our use of prayer, hope, and love as an example for them. I see this passage is a lesson in discipleship.
Prayer: gracious God, thank you for this reminder that I already have at my disposal all I need to resist temptation and have Christ as my partner. Amen
