Psalm 139:13-14
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful , I know that full well.
In these verses, David acknowledges his very birth and existence as a miracle. His formation in his mother's womb is part of the miracle. And David recognizes all of God's creation as a miracle. This is something I have always believed, and this morning reading David's words feels amazing to me. It is incredible to think of that historical figure, David, sitting and pondering these very same mysteries and miracles as we sit and ponder today. God is always doing something new, but He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Holy Lord, I thank you for my very existence, which somehow is part of your miraculous plan. I am thankful and I am yours, Amen

Psalm 139:13-14
God’s natural world is so full or miraculous beings and happenings. To me there is none so miraculous as the creating of a human being. One egg, one sperm and time and cellular growth produces this miracle—a baby, and even more miraculous is that that child contains genes from both the egg and sperm. Yes, as David says, “Your workmanship is marvelous!”
Prayer: Gracious God, your world of miracles is amazing. I am glad to be a part of it. Amen

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
As we age each of us learn in one way or the other that many people have struggles with jealousy, envy and compassion. I have learned this is a common trait in people who are insecure. I know this so well, only because I was there once. Learning that I am an individual that God created and has a unique personal plan for my life…. Has been one of the most valuable and precious freedoms God has granted to me…
Psalm 139:13-14 The phrase, “miracle of birth” is used pretty freely, even by those who profess no belief in God. While it risks being trite the phrase is extremely accurate. When one considers all the necessary cellular and chemical biological events between conception and birth, and that they work nearly flawlessly in the vast majority of cases, even in the most primitive of environments, miracle is the only word appropriate to describe the process - or even a single element of it. Becky and I have experienced both sides of this issue and consider all three of our children to be miracles from God. Tens of thousands of births around the globe every day clearly refute the claim that we no…
