A Daily Devotion for Monday, April 18

Romans 12:2

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Balance is finding that spot- between living with our brothers and sisters in this world, and keeping our eyes and heart always turned to God. God wants us “present” in this life. He created us as beings who enjoy comfort and plenty. But we were also created with hearts and minds and free-will, allowing us to make choices about our allegiances.

Holy Father, help me to find balance while I live in this world. I know I can give more, and worry less. I am thankful for what you have shown me, and am sorry for what I am missing. Amen
