A Daily Devotion for May 13, Wednesday

1Peter 3:13-22

verse 21: There is also an antitype which now saves us- baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

I really love the message in these words: “the answer of a good conscience toward God.“ When we bring our babies for baptism, we come as flawed parents and family members, asking God to help us bring up our little ones. We promise to do our best as parents to lead the way. We clear our conscience before God, recognize His authority, and share our hopes for our offspring. It has been a long time since Kenny was baptized. I still have the same hope and pray for him, as I do for Kay and Anthony. I ask God again today to bring my children ever closer to Him, to help them to see Him in their lives, every day. Amen
