A Daily Devotion for Thursday, June 25

Matthew 10:40-42

Verse 42: “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.”

These words from Jesus remind me again to do good in HIS name. I am not to do good for recognition, or to feel better about myself, or to fit in, or for any other reason. I am a servant of God, and must be on the lookout for opportunities to serve Him and His creation. And when asked I must have the courage to explain.

Holy Father, I boldly ask that you lead me to opportunities and open my eyes. Give me courage, God. I am yours. Amen
