A Daily Devotion for July 13, Monday

Ephesians 2: 11-22

verses 17-18: He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

We have been united through Christ!

That means everyone, everywhere. Instead, (and most unfortunately), human beings tend to focus on their differences, continually feeling the need to give their opinion and try to win others to their “side”. Our culture has become so polarized there seems to be no dwelling in the middle. Yet, Christ can overcome all of that. We are all part of God’s creation and all included in His eternal plan. We are much more alike than we are different. Paul points this out. God is God everywhere, for all people.

Holy One, help me. When I have an opportunity to speak of you, help me to be humble and genuine. Help me to bring others into awareness of your love and grace, when it is your will. I am your servant. Amen
