Galatians 2:21

I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be attained through the law, Christ died for nothing!

When I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior, I have made the most important decision of my life. But it is through God’s grace that this decision even exists, and that it exists for me! It is not because I am a good “rule follower” or because of anything I have accomplished. I cannot earn the right to choose Jesus, or to accept the promise of eternal life with Him. This is a gift set in front of me, and set in front of each of us, to accept or to refuse.

Father God, your grace is unimaginable. I know you must love me more than I love myself, and you love your entire creation in the same way. Help me be one who may lead another one step closer to accepting your gift. Amen

Galatians 2: 21

Sin is in control everywhere. Everyone is touched by it. The rules and laws assist by making us more aware of our shortcomings. I am my own disciplinarian, living by rules and limits that I know to right. The law and God are always present in my daily living . I cannot escape from the law or God, I cannot be saved by just obeying the law. If we could be saved by just doing good than Christ would not have to die. But the cross is the only way to salvation My life is lived by faith in the son of God, who loved and still loves me and gave himself for me I am …

Galatians 2:21 I have always been very uncomfortable with statement, “Christ died for me.” Did God really have to do that? As I look back to my childhood, I see church-going parents who did not preach to me, but set an example I have always followed. God, our father, gave us the ultimate example in Jesus. Jesus taught us how to love and to live and then God taught us by sacrificing his very own beloved son to save us all. I don’t have to “like” it, but I do have to understand it and the Grace that comes with it. Prayer, Gracious God you have set an example for us in your son, Jesus. Help us to understand your sacrifice…

Galatians 2: 21 “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

Grace is a free gift from God. If I live by my faith in Jesus Christ and do good works with love and understanding, I will be saved and Jesus would not have died in vain. Grace is not something I earn, it is given freely from God Almighty.

Dearest Lord, thank you for the gift of grace you send to me. The death of your Son was the ultimate price of my sins and yet you give me this gift of grace. What a wonderful God you are. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Galatians 2:21 - “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be attained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

God saw through many hundreds of years that people could not turn from sin solely by following the law. We needed a human being to show us that a sinless life was possible or at least something that we could try to attain.

Dear Lord I have heard and read the law throughout my life, but it is Jesus’ example that tells me I have a chance to live up to it to some degree. Jesus did not die in vain. Amen.

Galatians 2:21 - “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be attained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

One of the many arguments that non-believers raise is that they cannot accept as God, One who would let His own Son be killed. While Jesus’ death was horrific, it was humankind who set His murder in motion. All the self-congratulatory “I’m a good person” rings hollow in an examined life that reveals sin nearly every day. Even believers cannot keep the Ten Commandments. We may not murder or steal, but have we dishonored our parents, do we remember the Sabbath to keep it holy, have we never coveted? Fallen humans have absolutely no hope…
