Daily Prayer

Members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.

You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.

Rumor has it that you, God, are around,
 somewhere.
 So, I nod in your direction.
 
 Until your presence roars
 past what has merely tickled my ear.
 
 The words I speak are your own,
 repeating themselves for possible comprehension.
 
  You can do all things.
  Your purpose endures all threats.
  Yours is the knowledge.
  … the wonder of it all.
 
 I receive your word.
 I receive your wonder.
 I see you
 and go to pieces.
 
 You reknit my life.
 
 You fill my days.
 
 So be it.
