A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis for October 13, 2020

During these difficult days, members of the Many Waters District of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
 You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.

God said, “My presence will go with you. I’ll see the journey to the end.”
 God said to Moses: “All right. Just as you say; this also I will do, for I know you well and you
 are special to me. I know you by name.”
 God said, “Look, here is a place right beside me. Put yourself on this rock. When my Glory
 passes by, I’ll put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with my hand until I’ve passed
 by. Then I’ll take my hand away and you’ll see my back. But you won’t see my face.”

God...God...God?
 Can we talk?
 You and me?

It’s been a long six or so months.
 Global pandemic.
 Rampant racism.
 Political unrest.
 So much pain.
 I am tired.
 I am weak.
 I am worn.

I need to know that you are.
 Here.
 Now.
 With us.
 With me.

So hide me in the cleft of the rock.
 Let me have just a glimpse of you.
 A glimpse is all I need right now.
 To know you are.
 Here.
 Now.
 With us.
 With me.

God...God...God!
