A Daily Devotion for Friday, January 15

Matthew 13: 24-30

In the parable of the weeds, the man who owned the fields instructed his men to leave the weeds where they were. Trying to remove them might damage the good seedlings. Ultimately the weeds would be dealt with. This is excellent advice for me to follow. Sometimes I find myself complaining about others who have

“ broken the rules.” This is not my concern. Their behavior does not need to damage me. They will do what they will do. I will try to do the right thing.
 

Father God, help me. I will try harder to take care of myself and make decisions which please you. What others do or don’t do is not for me to judge. Amen
